Information Collected
OPPEUS collects and retains personal data from individuals in order for us to provide services as an executive search and human capital consulting firm. This may include information such as name, address, telephone number, previous employment history, business experience and educational qualifications, and may also include information derived from other sources such as referee comments and interview notes. Biographical details found in the public domain and information gained from private sources may form part of the information we collect.
However, we do not collect, keep or use sensitive information such as an individual’s racial/ethnic origin, political opinions, health, sexual orientation, membership of a political, professional or trade association, religious/philosophical beliefs and membership of a trade union. If we receive such information, we will require the consent from the applicant to retain this information.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
The information we receive/collect is stored in our secure databases. Only OPPEUS employees have access to the databases, which are exclusively utilised for our executive search assignments and related services.
Personal information may be disclosed to our clients and/or to referees for the purpose of seeking a position for applicants. In addition, OPPEUS will not supply third parties with any personal information unless authorised by the individual or as prescribed by law.
Updating and Protection of Personal Information
At OPPEUS, we endeavour to keep our database current and accurate at all times. Executives and Directors are encouraged to update their career information on a regular basis. In addition, we may contact applicants (or they may advise us) during an assignment to update information contained within our databases. However, when we conduct Management Appraisals, the information we gather is utilised only for Management Appraisal engagements and is not retained on our databases.
Only authorised OPPEUS employees, who have undertaken confidentiality agreements, are provided access to personally identifiable information. Our service providers, who may also have access to identifiable information, give us similar confidentiality undertakings.
