Our client is one of Australia’s most innovative physical services organisations. It generates $40m revenue, employs 200 personnel, and its integrated divisions deliver specialist services across a number of industries. The strong growth and latent potential of the business have given rise to the need to recruit an experienced and proven General Manager.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the General Manager will have primary focus on day-to-day operational management with the goal of maximising profitability and laying a foundation for future growth. Additionally, the new leader will bring a high order of interpersonal skills to facilitate productive relationships with staff, customers and other external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have outstanding experience as a proven line-manager with P&L responsibility, preferably in a successful physical services business. It is also critical that to demonstrate end-to-end competence in contracting, tendering, negotiation, mobilisation and management in a project-oriented business.
Also, to accord with the company’s values, the successful candidate will possess the highest standards of integrity and commercial ethics, a strong bias for service excellence and occupational safety, and a collegial spirit.
