The Organisation

With over $130M in revenue, CPA Australia is one of the world’s largest accounting bodies. CPA Australia is a leading international organisation with a membership base of over 125,000 professionals across the globe.

In 2007, CPA Australia implemented a new governance and Board structure. As a result, several Directors will reach the end of their terms in 2010 and CPA Australia now seeks to appoint 3 member Directors and 1 external Director to the Board.

The Role

1 x External Director

CPA Australia is seeking suitably qualified candidates with expertise and experience outside the accounting and finance professions, in one or more of the following disciplines:

Marketing/Communications
Retail/Consumer Goods

Demonstrated experience in corporate governance and directors’ duties and responsibilities is essential. The candidate will possess high standards of ethics, proven leadership skills, be analytically-minded, solutions focused and visionary.

The Board of CPA Australia meets on average 6 to 8 times per year for up to one day with the majority of meetings held in Melbourne.

3 x CPA Member Directors

(1 each representing ACT, Queensland and Western Australia)

CPA Australia is seeking suitably qualified candidates with expertise and experience in the accounting and finance professions. To support the skill set of the Board, the successful candidates will bring to the table experience from one or more of the following:

Accounting firms (including top tier firms)
Top 100 ASX Listed Corporations
Academia
Financial Services/Insurance
Government/Regulatory

2 x Member Directors

(1 each representing Singapore and Greater China)

We seek to appoint 2 member Directors, one from each of the broader Singapore and Greater China business communities, to join 10 other Directors from Australia and Asia on the Board of CPA Australia.

CPA Australia is seeking suitably qualified member candidates with expertise and experience in the accounting and finance professions. The successful candidate will bring to the table experience from one or more of the following:

Accounting firms (including top tier firms)
Large listed corporations
Government/Public Sector
Academia
Financial Services/Insurance
