New Chief Executive of the Department of Health and Families at Northern Territory Government.
Health Minister Kon Vatskalis today announced the appointment of the new Chief Executive of the Department of Health and Families.
Mr Jeff Moffet will take up the position in September from his current role as acting Chief Executive of the WA Country Health Service.
Mr Vatskalis said that Jeff has occupied senior leadership and management roles in the rural and remote health sector for the past ten years.
"Jeff has overseen the delivery of public health services to country Western Australia, managing 70 hospitals and multiple community based population health, mental health, Indigenous health and aged care services," Mr Vatskalis said.
"Jeff is familiar with the benefits and challenges of living and working in regional and remote areas with over a decade’s experience in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions as a manager and clinician, also working as a physiotherapist in Darwin in 1992."
"Jeff steps into the role at an important time to help steer the national reform processes in the Northern Territory and work with the community to improve Indigenous health outcomes and child protection services."
