Director and Executive Remuneration seminar for Chartered Secretaries Australia

Peter Kronborg, Executive Chairman and Jasper Coghlan, Specialist Advisor of OPPEUS were again invited to conducted a seminar on Director and Executive Remuneration for the Chartered Secretaries Australia. In attendance were company secretaries, finance managers & lawyers who are completing a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. The course module conducted included the following topics:
- Review of remuneration complexities and our experience of why director and executive remuneration is an important Corporate Governance issue
- Discussion on the composition and role of Board Remuneration Committees
- Review of the rationale and consequences of disclosure of remuneration paid to directors and executives
- Outline of current remuneration disclosure requirements and changes to the Corporations Act effective July 2007
- Outline of recent changes to the ASX Corporate Governance Principles dealing with remuneration
- Review of non-binding shareholder votes on the Remuneration Report at the AGMs of listed companies
