The event, which was held at The Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, was well attended with guests keen to hear Gordon Davis speak about the transformation of AWB and its future.
OPPEUS continues to be supportive of both AWB and the Agriculture industry as a whole and has assignments spanning the country from re-structures of member organisations to director searches for government bodies and so on.

Transformation of AWB
As Managing Director since September 2006, Gordon Davis has led a corporate transformation of the Company following the Inquiry into the involvement of AWB in the UN Oil for Food Program.
He has introduced a new company corporate culture based on integrity, accountability and performance, improved risk management disciplines, reformed AWB’s corporate governance arrangements and successfully restructured the business to ensure it is well placed following the deregulation of Australia’s wheat export marketing arrangements.
Gordon Davis has also been instrumental in improving the financial performance of the company, and he has headed up development of a company strategy that ensures the company is well positioned for future growth.
He has introduced a High Performance program for the AWB group, focussing on improving skills and capabilities in the operating units of Landmark Rural Services, Landmark Financial Services and Commodities Management. Gordon Davis is a Board member or Chairman of a number of subsidiary and joint venture companies including AWB interests in fertiliser and flour milling activities in Asia and North Africa.
