Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne. It serves a local population of approximately 400,000 and provides services across the continuum of care through 7000 staff and a budget of $700m.
Alfred Health’s services are provided from three campuses: The Alfred; Caulfield Hospital; and, Sandringham Hospital, plus 12 other sites across inner south east Melbourne and also works in collaboration with a wide range of other community-based services.

Alfred Health has recently realigned its clinical services and strategic direction under the new leadership of Chief Executive, Andrew Way. This new role has been created to ensure this complex health service can meet its objectives through leading a range of education and organisational development programs. The appointee will work closely with the Executive Director, Workforce as well as other executives and existing clinical education services to deliver education, development and transformation programs.
The newly established Education and Organisation Development Division will be responsible for organisation development, based on the organisations values, improvement and service redesign on an ‘internal consultancy’ basis, staff retention and development; and education and training.
