OPPEUS has adopted the National Privacy Principles established by the Australian Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and will update this Privacy Policy as required. Following is a summary of our policy and procedures:
OPPEUS collects and retains personal data from individuals in order for us to provide services as a professional services consulting firm. This may include personal information such as name, address, telephone number, previous employment history, business experience and educational qualifications, and may also include information derived from other sources such as referee comments and interview notes. We may also collect company information relevant to current assignments and current clients. Biographical details and company data found in the public domain and information gained from private sources may form part of the information we collect
However, we do not collect, keep or use sensitive information such as an individual’s racial/ethnic origin, political opinions, health, sexual orientation, membership of a political, professional or trade association, religious/philosophical beliefs and membership of a trade union. If we receive such information, we will require the consent from the applicant to retain this information.
The information we receive/collect is stored in our secure databases. Only Oppeus International employees have access to the databases, which are exclusively utilised for our assignments and related services.
Personal information may be disclosed to our clients and/or to referees for the purpose of seeking a position for applicants. In addition, Oppeus International will not supply third parties with any personal information unless authorised by the individual or as prescribed by law.
At Oppeus International, we endeavour to keep our database current and accurate at all times. Executives and Directors are encouraged to update their career information on a regular basis. In addition, we may contact applicants (or they may advise us) during an executive search assignment to update information contained within our databases.
Only authorised Oppeus International employees, who have undertaken confidentiality agreements, are provided access to personally identifiable information. Our service providers, who may also have access to identifiable information, give us similar confidentiality undertakings.
Subject to some exceptions that are set out in the National Privacy Principles, an individual has the right to gain access to their personal information.
