Bill has an extensive background as a senior Human Resources generalist in both Australia & Asia. He started his career with Ford Australia and worked in a wide variety of senior Human Resources roles in the Australian business. Before moving to Asia, Bill was Ford Australia’s Human Resources Manager, Business Operations. Prior to this, he held roles in employee relations, health & safety and remuneration & benefits.
Bill spent the last eight years of his Ford career in Asia. Most recently Bill was responsible for both recruiting and learning development for Ford Motor Company across twelve counties in the Asia Pacific region & worked out of Ford China. During this time, he worked in Shanghai and his major focus was on the business in China where Ford undertook major investments in manufacturing & R&D.
Prior to this Bill was assigned by Ford for five years to work in Japan for the Mazda Motor Corporation. His time in Japan coincided with the need for a major turnaround in the Mazda business and he played a key role in a wide range of Human Resources initiatives which were one of the key pillars of the turnaround program. Specifically Bill played a pivotal role in initiatives which included – a major business restructuring and staff reduction program, introduction of a wide variety of global best practice and new to Japan HR initiatives, creation of an innovative leadership development programs for senior management and “across the business” change management programs for all employees. Also during this time Bill’s role also saw him deeply involved with the Mazda businesses in both Europe & North America.
Bill joined OPPEUS in 2008 and is now a key member of the OPPEUS search team. Bill has been instrumental in successfully delivering a wide variety of senior searches ranging from CEO’s to senior functional leadership roles.
