The GO Foundation was established in 2009 by AFL footballers Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin who believe that education is the single most important factor to Indigenous Australians reaching their full potential. The GO Foundation’s Mission is to provide scholarships at quality schools, mentoring and pathways to help Indigenous Australians achieve a brighter future.

This is an inaugural role and pivotal to the future growth and success of the Go Foundation. Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Foundation’s staff, programs, expansion and execution of its mission and purpose.

The Candidate

Ideally candidates will possess:

• Leadership and senior management experience, and experience reporting to a Board
• Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing Strategic Plans
• Sound financial management skills, combined with operational ability to manage an on-going balanced financial position
• The ability to develop and implement new funding & revenue streams, program delivery & partnerships focus
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the NFP, education and/or indigenous sector
• Confidence, presence and intellect to influence corporate and NFP stakeholders and groups
• Experience in HR Programs and a willingness to lead the development of staff in line with growth
